How Much?

Kinja'd!!!

Just kidding, but I've been on the hunt for a 76-77 White (yes, specifically white!) 280z for a while to start as project before prices get too high (I've seen the prices rise 20-30% in the last 3 years). I wouldn't dare turn an all-original and (possibly) one or two-owner running car into a project.

Ideally I need one that hasn't rusted much (or easily-fixable rust), with a bad interior and a blown engine. They're extremely hard to find because the engines simply do not die ! The only ones for sale are running examples going for 2-3k over what I would be willing to pay, or rusted hulls that require someone with a lot more resources than me to save.

Either way, damn fine car. Hope you get to see it driven often.

My neighbor in Japan had a car 99% like the car in your pic!

I had a light blue '77. With the rear louvers (it was the 1970s after all)...which kept the car a whole lot cooler. Wouldn't mind having another one.

I'm actually considering buying one as my first project car. A friend of my dad's is selling a white 77 for 3500, but it's been sitting a while so I don't know what kind of condition it's in. I'm hoping to go look at it within the next couple weeks.

Hm, I'm going back into classes next month, so I might not be able to work on one currently, but that sounds pretty good depending on the condition of the rust and interior. If you do see it, maybe post some pictures!

I will. I looked at it a few years ago, but who knows what condition it's in now. It's been outside but under cover.
